THE FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE SONG IS HERE
And I’m SO freaking pleased I can give some good news in 2020!!! I collaborated with superstar Bizzy Savant to get this FIRE movement song out into the world and onto your screen. Here it is in all its glory!
Now this has been a labor of love going back months, but it really started years ago. When I started to really read up on financial independence in 2016 I was amazed at the amount of encouragement, support, and sheer wisdom spouting from it. Having so many voices there to guide me through personal finance seriously changed my life for the better; I marvel at how easy, stress-free, and full of joy my life is thanks to the lessons and advice I took from them.
I knew money was power but not how to maintain that power, and, after college, I had no one to turn to about understanding this crucial part. (After all, the only guarantees are death and taxes. And taxes always imply a monetary system.) The FIRE movement gave me that understanding, and did so without locking it behind elitist gates. They put their content out there so the average person can truly better their life. For me personally, it transformed my outlook from fearful to ultra-confident.
Keeping costs low means harnessing control over where my power goes; knowing how to invest means watching my wealth continue to grow. And both of those things gave me the confidence to pursue greater career opportunities, MORE THAN DOUBLING my 2017 salary!
The top bloggers in the space became my mentors, who were instrumental in beginning my climb to wealth. Their work is so deeply needed in the US, and in the world at large.
And yet… they don’t have the reach they should.
Making the FIRE Movement Song for Others
It came down to representing financial independence in another medium it hasn’t quite reached yet. With 70% of the US failing at financial literacy, it’s clear we need something more to spread the FIRE. So why not get the word out further with AWESOME MUSIC?
Don’t just take my word for it either – we’ve gotten some amazing feedback after it was released:
My ultimate goal is to bring financial freedom to many more folks in the US. There is SO MUCH work to be done on that front and this song is only the beginning.
How You Should Be Part of This
Now we have a favor to ask you. The immediate second step is me and Bizzy making a MUSIC VIDEO for the song. It should really showcase what the FIRE movement (and maybe its song!) has done to help folks become financially healthier, financially stable, and financially BADASS. And who better to show this than YOU???
If you’ve ever wanted to be part of a music video, now is the time to realize the dream! Send me footage of you dancing along to the song or doing something awesome in your day-to-day life and we’re going to add the greatest into the video. Everyone in the music video will get credited AND get to see the video before anyone else!
